For site owners

Your agency asked you to approve Mawnitor. Here is what that means.

Mawnitor reads your site so your agency hears about changes that matter. It reads, and only reads. This page says what that covers, in plain words.

01What it can see

On Shopify: the theme, which is the files your store is built from. That is the one permission it asks for. Orders, customers, products and payouts stay with you.

On WordPress: the record WordPress keeps of changes, such as plugins updated, pages edited and accounts added. With the companion plugin, the theme files too.

On every site: the public pages any visitor gets, and the public email records for your domain.

02What stays as it is

Your theme, your files and your settings. Mawnitor reads them and leaves them exactly as they are.

Your customers and your orders. It has no access to them.

Your sign-in. The access you approve works for reading through the API only.

03How to remove it

Shopify: uninstall the app from your Apps list in the Shopify admin.

WordPress: revoke the application password under your profile, and deactivate the companion plugin if it was added.

The site leaves Mawnitor when you do either.

04Who to write to

Write to [email protected]. A person answers.

05Data

What is kept is the theme files and page captures it read, and the access token, sealed. Since it has no access to customers, nothing about them is kept. The privacy policy has the detail.
